Academy of St. Paul & St. Ann is a culturally diverse student population constantly striving toward academic excellence, Christ-centered values and strong spiritual growth for all its students, teachers and staff. All that we do at Academy of St. Paul & St. Ann is focused on bringing the mission of Christ to all who enter, giving them the skills to go forth and preach the gospel through their words, actions and deeds.
Since the mid 1800's, Academy of St. Paul & St. Ann has been educating the children of God in the East Harlem community with emphasis on the spiritual and educational growth of each individual child. During each and every school year, we are committed to carrying on the mission of Christ in spreading the good news to all people.
The Academy of St. Paul & St. Ann follows the rigorous, New York State Common Core Curriculum and the Archdiocesan Essentials of Learning. This combination of standards aims to foster in each child a curiosity to pursue knowledge, higher order thinking and the ability to think critically. Our values infusion program ensures that our Catholic faith permeates each subject area.
Students will also be exposed to a program geared toward STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Education. To enhance the curious minds of our students, technology and scientific exploration will be a part of every grade level. Our intent is to foster a curiosity for education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics by bringing it to life in every subject area.
The individual talents of each child are supported by a teaching staff which constantly re-evaluates and assesses its methods of teaching through regular professional development and Catechist Formation.
Our teaching staff is firmly committed to lesson differentiation, giving each student the greatest opportunity to learn and develop.
