STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) is part of our everyday lives here at St. Paul School.  It is fully integrated into our curriculum. We embrace it, teaching students to have the rigor necessary to solve complex problems.

Students at Academy of St. Paul & St. Ann partake in a variety of curriculum-aligned, challenging Science projects throughout the year. Our main goals include scientific inquiry, analyzing data and creating students eager to explore.

Technology is alive in all our classrooms. From as early as PreK 3, students are exposed to technology in the form of iPADS, Chrome Books, Smart Boards, etc. Students in Grades 5-8 are totally paperless.

Using Google Classroom as their learning management system, students have no need to carry textbooks. To enhance instruction students often use: Khan Academy, IXL, Reading Eggs and Mathletics just to name a few. Beginning in the Fall of 2017, students will be using ReadyGen to help pinpoint areas of instruction that need extra work.

Engineering is a wonderful way to get students to build, explore and challenge the limits of what already is. Building robots and drones makes students explore the endless possibilities of the future. Younger students use Legos to build bridges, bird houses and much more. Whether it's a drone, robot or bridge, students dream, explore and build.

Arts in the form of music, dramatic interpretation, singing and painting are commonplace in the classrooms of Academy of St. Paul & St. Ann. Students have completed full length productions including Annie, Aladdin and Beauty and The Beast. Learning to sing and speak in front of people is a valuable tool for students as they enter the challenging work force.

Mathematics is present in our everyday world.  At St. Paul School we take down the shrouded mystery of Math and reinforce to students the great need for Mathematicians.  Students are constantly challenged with problem solving using their Math skills.
